Privacy Policy
For the protection of customers’ personal information, Komura-Tech Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Komura-Tech”) promotes the proper use of personal information in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information. To this end, Komura-Tech has established the following rules as its Privacy Policy, and strives to protect personal information.
* “Personal information” refers to information about individuals, including their name, postal address, telephone number, date of birth, gender, and email address, that Komura-Tech receives from its customers for business purposes, and that is either personally identifiable by itself or is personally unidentifiable by itself but can be easily checked against other information to identify a specific individual.
Collection of personal information
Komura-Tech collects personal information appropriately and does not collect it through deception or other dishonest means. Komura-Tech also takes care not to collect personal information with no good reason from children under the age of 15 without the consent of the persons who have the custody of the child.
Use of personal information
Within the scope of the purpose of use, Komura-Tech uses the personal information provided by customers. If it becomes necessary to use personal information beyond the scope of the purpose of use, Komura-Tech will do so with the individuals’ prior consent, except under the following conditions: (1) the use of personal information for purposes other than the purpose of use is permitted by relevant laws, regulations, or guidelines; and (2) the personal information is used in documents in a personally unidentifiable way.
Security management of personal information
In order to prevent customers’ personal information from leakage, falsification, or loss, Komura-Tech ensures strict management of the personal information in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, guidelines, and Komura-Tech’s internal regulations in an environment where appropriate security measures are taken. Komura-Tech also provides its employees with necessary education and enlightenment regarding the appropriate handling of personal information.
Provision of personal information
Komura-Tech does not provide the personal information collected from its customers to any third party unless:
- the individuals give consent to such provision;
- the personal information is provided in an personally unidentifiable way;
- the personal information is provided, to the extent necessary to accomplish the purpose of use, to subcontractors or other companies that have a confidentiality obligation to Komura-Tech; or
- provision of the personal information to a third party is permitted by related laws, regulations, or guidelines.
Disclosure, correction, or deletion of personal information
If you would like to request the disclosure, correction, or deletion of your personal information held by Komura-Tech, please contact Komura-Tech at the department or person to which or to whom you have provided your personal information. If you are not sure which department you should contact, please contact the Privacy Policy help desk described below. From the perspective of preventing personal information leaks, only if Komura-Tech confirms that the said request is made by the individual himself/herself will Komura-Tech disclose, correct, or delete the individual’s personal information without undue delay.
Revision of the Private Policy
The Privacy Policy may be revised as necessary. When it is revised, Komura-Tech will announce the revision on its website, and Komura-Tech will always keep the latest Privacy Policy posted on the website.
