Advantage of Komura-Tech
60 years since the establishment, a leading company of ultrasonic soldering technology.
The ultrasonic soldering method was invented in Germany in 1936.
It attracted attention for its ability to solder without flux, and since then, various improvements have been made.
Although it was considered difficult to bond to glass, Asahi Glass Co., Ltd. succeeded in developing the world’s first special solder that could bond to glass in 1970.
By applying ultrasonic waves to a solder with a special composition, it became possible to solder glass and metal, which had been considered impossible before.
This special solder, named "CERASOLZER," is widely used in advanced technology products around the world, and today the technology is applied to a variety of low-solderability materials other than glass.
Since the development of CERASOLZER, Asahi Glass Co., Ltd. has successfully developed an ultrasonic soldering device, SUNBONDER, in order to maximize the effect of CERASOLZER.
The technological revolution brought about by the special solder CERASOLZER and the ultrasonic soldering machine SUNBONDER has solved various bonding problems faced by the customers.
The development division of Kuroda Electric Co., Ltd., our parent company, was commissioned by Asahi Glass Co., Ltd. which developed the CERASOLZER and SUNBONDER, to develop an automated ultrasonic soldering system in 1980, which led to the application of ultrasonic soldering to various applications.
This division became independent in 2000 from Kuroda Electric Co. Ltd. and began its history as Kuroda Techno Co., Ltd.
At the same time, we took over the special solder business from Asahi Glass Co., Ltd. and gave birth to a leading company in ultrasonic soldering technology with a history of 60 years.
The special solder business will be taken over by
Komura-Tech Co., Ltd. which merged with Kuroda Techno Co., Ltd. in April 2024.
We are the only company in the world that possesses "materials," "equipment," "facilities," and "processes" for ultrasonic soldering.
